Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Talladega Superspeedway ... This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ eighth, ninth and 10th NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Lincoln, Ala.,-facility. The organization posted a team best finish of ninth-place with driver Max Tullman on October 13, 2018. The seven previous starts at the 2.66-mile tri-oval track have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 20.9 and an average finish of 14.1.
Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 219 starts from 25 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include four top-five finishes and 22 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.7 and an average finishing position of 19.1.
Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has three starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Talladega Superspeedway, including two top-ten finishes.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Talladega Superspeedway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. 13 in the Sugarlands Shine 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway. The Chad Kendrick-led team last unloaded this chassis at the Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on February 15, where it finished in the 29th-place after starting in the 18th-place in the chassis’ first appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Chassis No. 13 has additional history at the Talladega Superspeedway with driver Austin Hill (2018), where they finished in the tenth-place and also at the Daytona International Speedway, where the chassis produced an 11th-place finish.
Big One on the Blvd. ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Talladega Superspeedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.
Restrictor Plate Stats: In one NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series start on restrictor plate tracks (Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway), Tyler Dippel has an average finish of 29.0 with 23 laps completed.
Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Lobas Productions Chevrolet Silverado, has one victory (Parker Kligerman, 2012), four top-five finishes and six top-ten finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Lincoln, Ala.,-facility in 10 starts.
In the Rearview Mirror: Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 26th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series World of Westgate 200 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday, September 13. Dippel started in the 22nd-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 30, Dippel held position in the 22nd-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 60, he advanced to the 14th-place. After 80 laps completed, due an engine failure, Dippel was unable to finish the 134-lap race. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the ninth-place.
Season-to-date … Through the first 18 of 19 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 2490 of 2749 laps contested (90.6 percent), and has led two laps. Dippel is currently 13th in the driver point standings, and 14th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-five finish and three top-10 finishes, has spent 1,061 laps running in the top 15 and has made 717 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Talladega Superspeedway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 2 in the Sugarlands Shine 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway. This Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis was last unloaded at the Daytona International Speedway on February 15, where it finished in the 15th-place after starting in the 13th-place in the chassis’ first appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Additionally, Chassis No. 2 has history with driver Tanner Thorson during the 2018 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season at the Talladega Superspeedway.
Talladega Nights ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Talladega Superspeedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Bluffton, S.C.,-native has four starts in the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Menards Series at the Talladega Superspeedway including one victory (2016), one top-five finish, and three top-10 finishes.
Restrictor Plate Stats: In one NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series start on restrictor plate tracks (Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway), Gus Dean has an average finish of 15.0 with 98 laps completed. In eight combined ARCA Racing Series starts on restrictor plate tracks (Daytona International Speedway and the Talladega Superspeedway), Dean has an average finish of 17.9 – including a victory at the Talladega Superspeedway.
Eyes in the Sky … Tyler Green, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) spotter for Kurt Busch, will return to the spotter’s stand with Gus Dean for Saturday afternoon’s 94-lap NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race. Green guided Dean to his first ARCA Racing Series victory at the Talladega Superspeedway in 2016.

Ryan “Pickle” London, crew chief of the No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado, has one (2014) start at the Lincoln, Ala.,-facility in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. London maintains the highest average finish (3.0) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the Talladega Superspeedway. In addition, London has one start at the Talladega Superspeedway in the ARCA Racing Series.
In the Rearview Mirror: Las Vegas Motor Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 15th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series World of Westgate 200 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday, September 13. The 25-year old started in the 23rd-place at the Las Vegas-facility. Dean finished Stage 1 in the 18th-place on Lap 30. At the end of Stage 2 on Lap 60, he had advanced to the 10th-place and earned stage points. The Bluffton, S.C., native was scored as high as the third-place.

“I am stoked about returning to the Talladega Superspeedway. I have a lot of experience in the ARCA Racing Series at the Talladega Superspeedway, including my first-career victory in my second series start a couple years ago. I am hoping we can have a terrific performance on Saturday. In the spotters stand this weekend, I will have Tyler (Green), who guided me to my ARCA Racing Series win in 2016, and I feel like together we can rekindle that magic again.
“We have a lot of guests from Baker Distributing and LG Air Conditioning Technologies coming to the Talladega Superspeedway, and hopefully we can give them a performance to remember.”
ON SECOND HALF SEASON SURGE: “I cannot give enough credit to Young’s Motorsports and crew chief Ryan (London). In the second half of the season, I feel like we have made significant progress with our No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado with a string of solid finishes.
“We have four races remaining and we’re certainly not going to leave anything on the table, so we’ll try to get more strong finishes and end the year on a high note.”
Season-to-date … Through the first 19 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Gus Dean has completed 2217 of 2813 laps contested (78.8 percent). Dean is currently 16th in the driver point standings and 18th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has spent 746 laps running in the top 15 and has made 588 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Talladega Superspeedway ... Spencer Boyd will pilot Chassis No. 7 in the Sugarlands Shine 250 at the Talladega Superspeedway. This Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis was last unloaded at the Daytona International Speedway on February 15 with Boyd, where they finished in the fourth-place after starting in the 14th-place in the chassis’ first appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. With Boyd, this chassis produced Young’s Motorsports’ best finish at the Daytona International Speedway to date. Chassis No. 7 has a ninth-place finish with Max Tullman at the Talladega Superspeedway during the 2018 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. At the Daytona International Speedway, the chassis produced a fifth-place finish with driver Scott Lagasse, Jr.
The Biggest and the Fastest … This weekend marks Spencer Boyd’s second Talladega Superspeedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. He has earned an average starting position of 17.0 and an average finishing position of 13.0 at the 2.66-mile tri-oval track, and made his NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series track debut on October 14, 2017. The St. Louis, Mo., driver has one start at the Talladega Superspeedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS).
Restrictor Plate Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on a restrictor plate track (Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway), Spencer Boyd has an average finish of 8.5 with 206 laps completed – 100 percent of laps contested.
