Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Kentucky Speedway ... This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ ninth, 10th, and 11th NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Sparta, Ky.,-facility. The organization posted a team best 10th-place finish in 2017 with driver Austin Hill. The previous eight starts at the 1.5-mile tri-oval speedway have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 20.9 and an average finish of 21.5.


Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 198 starts from 24 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include three top-five finishes and 20 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.6 and an average finishing position of 19.2.


Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has three starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Kentucky Speedway. In addition, Young has one NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start (2015) at the 1.5-mile tri-oval speedway.

The Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 will be broadcast live on FS1 and the FOX Sports app. on Thursday, July 11 starting with NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series Raceday at 7:00 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the 13th event of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series schedule will air on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. (ET) on FS1 and the FOX Sports app.


The Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the Kentucky Speedway will re-air on Friday, July 12 at 4:00 a.m. (ET) on FS1 and the FOX Sports app., and again at 11:00 a.m. on FS2 and the FOX Sports app. On Saturday, July 13, at 6:00 a.m. (ET) the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 will re-air.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Kentucky Speedway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. T-12 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the Kentucky Speedway. The Chad Kendrick-led team as last unloaded this chassis at the Texas Motor Speedway on June 7, where it finished in the 25th-place after starting in the 12th-place in the chassis’ first appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.


Bluegrass State Facts ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Kentucky Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Speedway Stats: In 12 combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Tyler Dippel has one top-10 finish (Texas), with an average finish of 14.5.


Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado, has seven top-five finishes and seven top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Sparta, Ky.,-facility in 10 starts. Kendrick maintains the highest average finish (6.9) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the Kentucky Speedway, and it is his highest average finish track in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Kendrick has led 19 laps as a crew chief at the Kentucky Speedway.


In the Rearview Mirror: Chicagoland (Ill.) Speedway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 12th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Camping World 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway on Friday, June 28. Dippel started in the 14th-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 35, Dippel was in the 21st-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70, he was in the 14th-place. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the eighth-place.

Season-to-date … Through the first 12 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 1772 of 1950 laps contested (90.9 percent), and has led two laps. Dippel is currently 11th in the driver point standings, and 14th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-10 finish, has spent 587 laps running in the top 15 and has made 440 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Kentucky Speedway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 021 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the Kentucky Speedway. The Jeff Stankiewicz-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on May 17, where it finished in the 26th-place after starting in the 19th-place in the chassis’ first appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.


My Old Kentucky Home ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Kentucky Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Bluffton, S.C., driver has two starts in the ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series at the Kentucky Speedway. He made his track debut on September 23, 2016 in the ARCA Racing Series.


Speedway Stats: In nine combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Gus Dean has an average finish of 20.7.


Atop the Pit Box: Jeff Stankiewicz … Jeff Stankiewicz, crew chief of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado, has seven starts at the Sparta, Ky.,-facility in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, including two top-five finishes and two top-10 finishes. In addition, Stankiewicz has one start at the Kentucky Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS). In his only start (2017) in the ARCA Racing Series as a crew chief at the Kentucky Speedway, Stankiewicz collected the pole award.


In the Rearview Mirror: Chicagoland Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 15th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Camping World 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway on Friday, June 28. The 24-year old started in the 12th-place at the Joliet, Ill.,-facility. Dean finished Stage 1 in the 16th-place on Lap 35, and at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70, advanced to the 10th-place. The Bluffton, S.C., native was scored as high as the eighth-place.


Quoting Gus Dean:

“The Kentucky Speedway has a lot of similarities to the Chicagoland Speedway and the Kansas Speedway. The track has some bumps, and the aging surface often produces good racing. Our No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado had a solid weekend at the Chicagoland Speedway, so we have some momentum on our side going to this weekend at the Kentucky Speedway.


“I’d like to build on our top-15 finish though and earn the No. 12 Young’s Motorsports team a top-10 finish on Thursday night.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 12 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Gus Dean has completed 1450 of 1950 laps contested (74.4 percent), and is currently 16th in the driver point standings, and 20th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has spent 467 laps running in the top 15 and has made 394 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week’s Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Kentucky Speedway … Spencer Boyd will pilot Chassis No. T-18 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the Kentucky Speedway. The Andrew Abbott-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Chicagoland Speedway on June 28, where they finished in the 17th-place after starting in the 20th-place in the chassis’ third appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.


Spartan of Sparta, Kentucky … This weekend marks Spencer Boyd’s first Kentucky Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Boyd has one NASCAR Xfinity Series start - making his track debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on July 13, 2018.


Speedway Stats: In 13 combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Spencer Boyd has an average finish of 21.2.


Atop the Pit Box: Andrew Abbott … Andrew Abbott, crew chief for the No. 20 Record Rack Chevrolet Silverado, has two starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Kentucky Speedway.


In the Rearview Mirror: Chicagoland Speedway ... Spencer Boyd, driver of the No. 20 1A Auto Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 17th-position in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Camping World 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway on Friday, June 28. Boyd started in the 20th-position, finished Stage 1 on Lap 35 in the 23rd-position, and was scored in the 18th-place at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70. The 24-year old was scored as high as first-position – with one lap led.


Quoting Spencer Boyd:

“I have only been to the Kentucky Speedway once in my career, but I am looking forward to going back this weekend with Young’s Motorsports. We have an awesome looking No. 20 Record Rack Chevrolet Silverado for a Thursday night showdown under the lights.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 12 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Spencer Boyd has completed 1822 of 1950 laps contested (93.4 percent), and has led one lap. Boyd is currently 12th in the driver point standings, and 16th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-five finish (Daytona) and one top-10 finish, and has spent 227 laps running in the top 15 and has made 311 green-flag passes thus far this season.
