Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Atlanta Motor Speedway ... This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ sixth, seventh, and eighth NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Hampton, Ga.,-facility. The organization posted a team best finish of 10th-place with driver Austin Dillon on February 24, 2018. The five previous starts at the 1.54-mile quad-oval speedway have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 20.2 and an average finish of 16.2.
Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 165 starts from 24 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include three top-five finishes and 19 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.6 and an average finishing position of 19.2.
Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has two starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Catch the Action ... The Atlanta 200 will be broadcast live on FS1 and FOX Sports GO on Saturday, February 23 at 4:30 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 4:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the second event of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series schedule will air on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. (ET) on FS1 and FOX Sports GO. This Young’s Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverado is new to the Chad Kendrick-led team for the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.
Georgia on my Mind ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Atlanta Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.
Speedway Stats: Tyler Dippel has three combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-mile in length). In addition, the 18-year old has one start in the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Racing Series, and eight combined NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West starts on speedways.
Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Lobas Productions Chevrolet Silverado, has two top-five finishes and three top-ten finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Hampton, Ga.,-facility in seven starts.
In the Rearview Mirror: Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Lobas Productions Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 29th-position in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 at the Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 15. Dippel started the extended 100-lap event from the 18th-place. At the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 20, Dippel was scored in the 30th place after early mechanical troubles. On Lap 27 he was involved in a multiple-truck incident in Turn 3, and Dippel’s Chevrolet Silverado sustained enough damage in the incident to send it to the garage. Unable to finish, Dippel finished in the 29th-place.

Speedway Stats: This weekend marks Gus Dean’s speedway debut in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. In nine combined ARCA Racing Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), the Bluffton, S.C.,-native has recorded one top-10 finish.

Atop the Pit Box: Jeff Stankiewicz … Jeff Stankiewicz, crew chief of the No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado, with the highest average finish (8.8) at the Atlanta Motor Speedway of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs, boosts two top-five finishes and two top-ten finishes at Hampton, Ga.,-facility. In addition, he has one NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start with Brian Scott.
In the Rearview Mirror: Daytona International Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 15th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 at the Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 15. The 24-year old started in the 13th-place in the 32-truck field. Dean finished Stage 1 in the 19th-place, on Lap 20, and at the end of Stage 2, on Lap 40, he was in the 11th-place. While battling for position on Lap 52, Dean was involved in an incident in Turn 4 and had to visit pit road multiple times to repair the damage. Under the eighth caution flag, Dean was scored in the third-place. He was involved in the last-scheduled lap melee, and unable to finish, Dean finished in the 15th-place. Dean was the highest finishing rookie.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Atlanta Motor Speedway ... Spencer Boyd will pilot Chassis No. 17 in the Atlanta 200 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. This Young’s Motorsports prepared chassis was last unloaded at the Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 16, 2018 with driver Austin Hill, led by crew chief Chad Kendrick, where they finished in the 21st-place after starting in the 16th-place in the chassis’ fourth appearance of the 2018 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. At the Texas Motor Speedway, the chassis produced a fifth-place finish with Hill – his best finish of the season.
The Peach State … This weekend marks Spencer Boyd’s first Atlanta Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The St. Louis, Mo., driver has one start at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He made his track debut on February 24, 2018 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, finishing in the 29th-place.
Of particular note, Boyd won the pole award for the Annual Legends Asphalt Nationals at the quarter-mile “Thunder Ring” at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, driving in the Semi-Pro Series in 2012 in the U.S. Legends Cars International (USLCI) series.
Special Passenger … A1C Stephen R. Bost will be represented on the No. 20 1A Auto Chevrolet Silverado at the Atlanta Motor Speedway with his name above the passenger-side door. As special guests of Boyd, A1C Stephen R. Bost’s father, Joe Bost, and son Jacob will be in attendance for the Atlanta 200 through the TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) Organization.
In Memory of Sam Bass … Sam Bass, NASCAR’s first officially licensed artist, and family friend to Spencer Boyd, will be recognized with a special decal on the No. 20 1A Auto Chevrolet Silverado at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Atop the Pit Box: Andrew Abbott … Andrew Abbott, crew chief for the No. 20 1A Auto Chevrolet Silverado, has one top-ten finish in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Hampton, Ga.,-facility in two starts.
In the Rearview Mirror: Daytona International Speedway ... Spencer Boyd, driver of the No. 20 1A Auto Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the fourth-position in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 at the Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 15. Boyd started in the 14th-position and flexed some muscle early, and was in the 11th-position by Lap 7. He finished Stage 1 on Lap 20 in the 18th-position, and advanced to fifth-place at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 40 to capture valuable stage points. The 23-year old maneuvered his way through multiple layers of carnage, holding off competitors in the final laps. Boyd sustained minor damage but was able to stay in the fight, side-drafting a veteran competitor to finish in the fourth-position. It was Boyd’s career-first top-five finish in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.
