The 2025 season will mark Alfredo’s fourth full-time Xfinity Series campaign, and he joins the Mooresville, N.C.-based team after spending the 2024 season with Our Motorsports.
The 25-year-old finished the 2024 Xfinity season 15th in the championship driver standings, collecting an Xfinity Dash 4 Cash win at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway and adding two more top-fives and seven top-10s to his impressive statistics in 125 career Xfinity Series starts.

● Throwback Alert: Traditionally, the spring NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway marks the official “NASCAR Throwback” weekend, giving teams the opportunity to showcase classic paint schemes inspired by motorsports history.
For this year’s event, Young’s Motorsports and driver Anthony Alfredo are honoring the legendary “Silver Bullet” paint scheme once driven by Sterling Marlin during his time with Chip Ganassi Racing. The No. 42 Chevrolet will feature the iconic Coors Light livery, complete with the signature Rocky Mountains design, as a tribute to one of NASCAR’s most recognizable looks.
Marlin debuted the Silver Bullet scheme in 2000 after joining Ganassi in 1998 as the driver of the No. 40 Coors Light car. The design became a fan favorite and a symbol of his successful run in the early 2000s.
The scheme gained even more recognition during the 2002 season when Marlin captured his final two NASCAR Cup Series wins at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Darlington Raceway.
The team will recognize the 2005 season this weekend when Sterling Marlin drove the No. 40 Coors Light entry to one top-five and five top-10 finishes. His teammate, Jamie McMurray, piloted the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing machine.
This weekend, Young’s Motorsports will flash McMurray’s number while bringing back memories of old with Marlin’s iconic paint scheme.
● Anthony Alfredo Xfinity Series Darlington Raceway Stats: Saturday’s Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help A Hero 200 will mark Alfredo’s eighth career start at the 1.33-mile speedway, one of the most unique tracks on the Xfinity Series tour.
Alfredo earned a track-best of 14th twice, most recently after starting eighth in the spring 2024 edition of the Crown Royal Purple Bag Project 200 for Our Motorsports.
The Xfinity Series veteran driver will look to improve his overall Darlington Raceway average finish of 22.6.
Additionally, Alfredo has two NASCAR Cup Series starts at Darlington with a best effort of 24th after starting 32nd in the 2021 Cook Out Southern 500 driving for Front Row Motorsports.
With seven down and 26 races to go, Alfredo and the Young’s Motorsports team look to punch their ticket toward the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs with a victory in the eighth race of the year.
The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series is enjoying a much-needed off, putting the NASCAR Xfinity Series front and center for what is expected to be a hot afternoon of racing in The Palmetto State.
The NASCAR Cup Series will follow the Xfinity Series rumble with their main event, the Goodyear 400, on Sunday, April 6.
● Anthony Alfredo Xfinity Series Career Stats: Entering Darlington, Alfredo has 125 NASCAR Xfinity Series races to his credit, earning a career-best third-place finish twice, most recently at Talladega Superspeedway after starting 11th in the 2024 edition of the Ag-Pro 300 for Our Motorsports.
Since 2020, he has earned one pole, five top-five, and 22 top-10 finishes and has an average finish of 19.7.
● Martinsville Speedway | Marine Corps 250 Race Recap: The first of two visits to the small town of Martinsville, Va., kicked off with the Marine Corps 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the historic Martinsville Speedway.
Young’s Motorsports continued to show promise in practice, with Anthony Alfredo behind the wheel of the No. 42 Dude Wipes Chevrolet. Alfredo carried that speed into qualifying, matching his season-best effort with a 17th-place starting position — setting the stage for 250 laps of intense short-track action.
Passing came at a premium early on, but Alfredo made steady progress through the field. Staying patient and keeping the car clean, he worked his way into the top 10 as the race approached the end of Stage 2.
Unfortunately, just 110 laps into the event, Alfredo’s strong run came to an abrupt halt when the engine in the No. 42 Chevrolet seized, forcing him to pit road and ending his day prematurely.
The setback resulted in a disappointing 38th-place finish for Alfredo and the Young’s Motorsports team.
With seven races now complete, the team will regroup and aim to improve their current average finish of 26.6 as the season progresses.
● Calling the Shots: Guiding Alfredo as crew chief of the No. 42 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro is longtime crew chief Andrew Abbott.
On Saturday, he will be crew chief in his 138th NASCAR Xfinity Series race. In his previous 137 races, he has four top-five and 13 top-10 finishes.
The season's eighth race will be his eighth tango at Darlington Raceway as crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR Xfinity Series at Darlington Raceway: This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ third appearance in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at the legendary Darlington Raceway.
The team made its Xfinity Series debut at Darlington in May, qualifying a solid 22nd. However, mechanical issues plagued the outing, resulting in a 30th-place finish. They returned in the fall with a determined effort, improving to a 23rd-place result after starting 33rd at the track famously known as "Too Tough To Tame."
In addition to their Xfinity efforts, the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization has extensive experience at Darlington in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, with 15 starts to date.
Their strongest Truck Series performance at the South Carolina oval came on May 12, 2023, when Kaden Honeycutt delivered a 10th-place finish in the Buckle Up South Carolina 200.
Since 2020, Young’s Motorsports has maintained an average starting position of 27.4 and an average finish of 24.4 in their Truck Series efforts at Darlington Raceway.
● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR Xfinity Series History: Since entering the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2024, the family-owned organization has logged 40 starts and maintains an average starting position of 26.3 and an average finish of 24.0.

Anthony Alfredo Pre-Race Quotes:
On Darlington Raceway: “Darlington is a track that takes a lot of patience and skill. I love racing there because it’s an opportunity to show how a driver can make a bigger difference than equipment, unlike most other tracks. It’s always one of my favorites.”
On Keys to Success at Darlington Raceway: “Managing your tires is the most important thing at Darlington because the racing surface is so worn out and there is a lot of lap time fall off.
“Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to strategize a way to have fresher tires than the competition at one point in the race, ideally the end.”
On Goals for Darlington Raceway: “A top 15 would satisfy the team and me because we have had so much misfortune this season and honestly just need a solid, clean race to build on.”
On Darlington Raceway Throwback Weekend: “Throwback weekend is so much fun, and it’s really special to run a throwback that is so iconic.”
On Staying Motivated Despite Recent Bad Luck: “I’m not going to lie, it’s tough to keep getting beat down like we have been, but at least we know it’s not from a lack of speed.
“We just need to focus on controlling what is actually in our control and keep the faith.”
On The 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Season: “My goal this year with Young’s Motorsports is simple: to win a regular-season race and make the Playoffs.
“It’s certainly a tall order, but we can make it happen. We will build this program from the ground up and make that goal a reality.”
