This tripleheader weekend will mark Byrd’s first career NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series start at the iconic 0.533-mile short track — his second short track appearance of the 2025 season.

● About Nathan: Byrd, 24, began racing go-karts in 2018, just after graduating High School, and he entered his first car race in February 2020.

Since then, the Goodyear, Ariz. native has raced over 30 types of cars in 348 total races at 67 different race tracks, effectively becoming one of the most diverse and interesting race car drivers in the world.

Completing more than 300 races in the first four years of his career, Byrd is no stranger to piloting race cars.

In 2024, the Indianapolis, Ind. resident turned his attention to NASCAR. He successfully made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Portland International Raceway and delivered a respectable 21st-place finish for DGM Racing.

In September, Byrd made his NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series debut at Kansas Speedway, earning a respectable 19th-place finish after starting 32nd.

● Nathan Byrd Truck Series Bristol Motor Speedway Stats: Friday night’s WEATHER GUARD Truck Race at Bristol will mark Nathan Byrd’s first career NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series start in legendary Thunder Valley.

The race continues the fast-paced opening stretch of the 2025 Truck Series season and, for the sixth time this year, will be part of a tripleheader weekend alongside the NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series.

Kicking off the weekend, the Truck Series is expected to deliver its hard-nosed, fender-bending action under the lights in the hills of Tennessee. The excitement continues Saturday afternoon with the Xfinity Series' 300-lap SciAps 300, promising another edge-of-your-seat showdown.

The weekend will culminate on Sunday, April 13, with the NASCAR Cup Series taking center stage for the Food City 500.

Bristol Motor Speedway marks the sixth race of an expanded 2025 Truck Series calendar, which has grown by two races compared to the 2024 season.

● Nathan Byrd Truck Series Career Stats: Entering Bristol, Byrd, 2024, has eight career Truck Series starts with an improving average finish of 27.5.

The popular driver made his Truck Series debut for the family-owned team at Kansas Speedway in September, finishing an impressive 19th. He returned to the team in October at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway before drawing the curtain on the 2024 season by participating in the year's final race at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway.

So far in 2025, Byrd has started the first five Truck Series races at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway, Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway and most recently at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

Martinsville (Va.) Speedway | The Boys & Girls Club of the Blue Ridge 200 Race Recap: In the fifth race of the 2025 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series season, Young’s Motorsports and rookie driver Nathan Byrd remained focused on building experience and reaching the checkered flag.

Byrd qualified his No. 02 Hopegivers International Chevrolet Silverado 30th on speed and kept his truck out of trouble throughout the first of two scheduled visits to the 0.526-mile short track. His steady effort resulted in a season-best 28th-place finish at the checkered flag.

● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway:  This weekend will mark Young's Motorsports' 25th NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The organization posted a team-best finish at the track of 14th with Tanner Thorson in the 2018 edition of the UNOH 200 on August 16, 2018.

Since 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.-based Young’s Motorsports team has had an average starting position of 24.6 and an average finish of 25.0 in 24 Bristol Motor Speedway starts overall.

● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series History: Since entering the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C., - based organization has logged 514 starts from 70 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include two victories (Talladega Superspeedway 2019 and 2021), seven top-five finishes and 33 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 23.2 and an average finishing position of 22.2.

Nathan Byrd Pre-Race Quote:

On Bristol Motor Speedway: “This weekend serves as a chance to prove that I learned some important lessons from my first NASCAR short track race at Martinsville that I can then apply to an even faster track.

“If I can build on my Martinsville experience and give the team the good showing they deserve, then I think that would be a testament to continued progress. Besides that, I’m excited to race the truck at a high-banked short track, similar to tracks I’ve competed at before, like Winchester and Salem Speedway on the open-wheel short track side of things.

“I think it’ll be a really fun experience and maybe even a bit less of a learning curve due to my increased comfort in going fast on higher-banked tracks in general!”

On Preparing for Bristol Motor Speedway: “I’ve already done some video preparation and review for the race and will continue to do more of that alongside hitting my simulator to attain general familiarity of the track and work on building some muscle memory as well.

“Talking with the team is also essential to clarify any questions I have during my personal training and preparation.”

On Goals for Bristol Motor Speedway Debut: “All things considered, I think a finish in the top-20 would be a great result and sign of development and progress from the team and myself.

“I believe the truck was already capable of it at Martinsville; it was just the driver that was struggling to sort things out as quickly as needed!”

On Martinsville Speedway Debut: “I finally got an understanding of how much braking is too much braking for these machines and how you need to drive in order to take care of your equipment over the course of a race.

“I understand better now the driving technique required to properly slow down for these short tracks not to burn up your brakes and actually to roll more speed through the corner.

“That was the primary lesson I learned, how not to overdrive the truck! If I can take that lesson and quickly apply it to Bristol, I can have a really good shot at giving the Young’s Motorsports team the result they deserve!”

● Settling In: In January, Young’s Motorsports announced that NASCAR Xfinity Series veteran Anthony Alfredo would drive full-time for the team in its second season of competition. Alfredo is piloting the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro for the full 33-race schedule, which continues this Saturday afternoon with the SciAps 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The 2025 season marks Young’s Motorsports’ sophomore campaign in the Xfinity Series, following a promising and competitive debut year with rookie Leland Honeyman Jr. behind the wheel.

● About Anthony: A popular driver, Alfredo, a native of Ridgefield, Connecticut, joins Young’s Motorsports with an array of Motorsports experience, including starts in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series, respectively.

The 2025 season will mark Alfredo’s fourth full-time Xfinity Series campaign, and he joins the Mooresville, N.C.-based team after spending the 2024 season with Our Motorsports.

The 25-year-old finished the 2024 Xfinity season 15th in the championship driver standings, collecting an Xfinity Dash 4 Cash win at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway and adding two more top-fives and seven top-10s to his impressive statistics in 125 career Xfinity Series starts.

All-Aboard!: For the ninth of 33 Xfinity Series races this season, Young’s Motorsports welcomes back DUDE Wipes, who partner with the Mooresville, N.C.-based team as the primary partners on the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro for the 300-lap race on Saturday afternoon.

DUDE Wipes is the flagship product of DUDE Products, a men’s hygiene company that was founded in 2012 by lifelong friends in Chicago.

The U.S.-based company introduced DUDE Wipes as the first flushable wipe for adults, marketed as a better hygiene solution to dry toilet paper.

The brand is available online and in 20,000 stores nationwide, including Walmart, Target and Amazon.

● Anthony Alfredo Xfinity Series Bristol Motor Speedway: Saturday’s SciApps 300 will mark Alfredo’s fifth career start at the 0.533-mile speedway, dubbed the “Last Great Colosseum.”

Alfredo earned a track-best of sixth after starting 19th in the fall 2020 edition of the Food City 300 for Richard Childress Racing.

The Xfinity Series veteran driver will look to improve his overall Bristol Motor Speedway average finish of 13.8.

Additionally, Alfredo has one NASCAR Cup Series start on the concrete at Bristol with a best effort of 35th after starting 30th in the 2021 Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race driving for Front Row Motorsports.

With eight down and 25 races to go, Alfredo and the Young’s Motorsports team look to punch their ticket toward the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs with a victory in the ninth race of the year.

Alfredo will also serve as a mentor for his fellow Young’s Motorsports NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series teammate Nathan Byrd in the WEATHER GUARD Truck Race at Bristol.

The NASCAR Cup Series will follow the Xfinity Series rumble with their main event, the Food City 500, on Sunday, April 13.

● Anthony Alfredo Xfinity Series Career Stats: Entering Bristol, Alfredo has 126 NASCAR Xfinity Series races to his credit, earning a career-best third-place finish twice, most recently at Talladega Superspeedway after starting 11th in the 2024 edition of the Ag-Pro 300 for Our Motorsports.

Since 2020, he has earned one pole, five top-five, and 22 top-10 finishes and has an average finish of 19.8.

● Darlington Raceway | Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help A Hero 200 Race Recap: The NASCAR Xfinity Series made its lone stop at Darlington Raceway for the annual throwback weekend, highlighted by the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help A Hero 200.

Young’s Motorsports showed encouraging speed in practice, but Anthony Alfredo could only secure the 32nd-fastest qualifying time — just enough to make the field on speed.

Starting from the back, Alfredo adopted a cautiously aggressive strategy, steadily climbing the ranks and challenging for a top-20 spot during the final stage.

However, his efforts were derailed on Lap 129 when he was caught up in a multi-car incident, taking the Mooresville, N.C.-based team out of contention for a stronger result. Despite the setback, Alfredo managed to finish on the lead lap in 31st.

With eight races in the books, the team looks to regroup and build on their current average finish of 27.1 as the season continues.

Calling the Shots: Guiding Alfredo as crew chief of the No. 42 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro is longtime crew chief Andrew Abbott.

On Saturday, he will be crew chief in his 139th NASCAR Xfinity Series race. In his previous 138 races, he has four top-five and 13 top-10 finishes.

The season's ninth race will be his seventh tango at Bristol Motor Speedway as crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR Xfinity Series at Bristol Motor Speedway: This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ second appearance in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at the legendary Bristol Motor Speedway.

Last September, rookie driver Leland Honeyman Jr. started in the 31st position and contended for a strong finish before a brief mechanical issue took them behind the wall. They then returned and finished the Xfinity Series race, earning a 31st-place position.

In addition to their Xfinity effort, the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization has extensive experience at Bristol in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, with 24 starts to date.

Since 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.-based Young’s Motorsports team has had an average starting position of 24.6 and an average finish of 25.0 in 24 Bristol Motor Speedway starts overall.

● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR Xfinity Series History: Since entering the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2024, the family-owned organization has logged 41 starts and maintains an average starting position of 26.4 and an average finish of 24.2.
